This study demonstrates the effectiveness and the importance of cognitive and behavioral techniques in the treatment of case with generalized anxiety disorder.

This study is devised into two parts0a theoretical part which includes primarily the concepts related to case studies such as: the definition of generalized anxiety disorder0 behavioral cognitive therapy and in second place: theoretical elements represented in the cognitive model of generalized anxiety0Lazarus model and functional analysis.

The second part is the practical aspect of the study which includes: Methodology0 case presentation0functional analysis.

The results revealed the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral techniques in the reduction of the degree of generalized anxiety for the child..
