Because of their importance positive contribution in many economic indicators, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in the economies of countries.

However, as they face financial problems that limit their development, SMEs must find new ways of funding that will be consistent with the nature of their needs; in this context, leasing stands out as a modern means of their financing.

So, this article proposes to treat the lease as a financing technique and show its importance as a financing alternative for SMEs
