Abstract EN

Ways of advancing training programs design in security institutions in light of Dacum requirements In order to examine how training programs are designed, researcher conducted a field study at both Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and King Fahad Security College.

Study sample composed of members all of which were PhD holders.

Researcher adopted analytical descriptive approach and summed up with the following key findings: design of training programs in its various stages was found to be unsatisfactory and not coping with modern developments.

Findings have also shown a tremendous agreement from almost all study sample on the paramount importance of the advancement of training programs design by abandoning traditional ways and adopting modern ones such as DACUM Approach.

Study recommended tailoring training programs in compliance with new training trends and tackling the shortcoming between the content of the training program and the actual training process.

It furthermore recommended that training programs in academic as well as security institutions should be designed in compliance with field work requirements, and also recommended adaptation of DACUM Approach to go in line with Arab environment.

Study also urged think tanks to conduct realistic, comprehensive studies on DACUM Approach and its applications on training process.
