Abstract EN

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a computerized program in Islamic Education on creative thinking developing of seventh grade students in Jordan.

The sample of the study comprised (116) male and female students, that were divided into three groups, the control group of (40) male and female students; (18) male and (22) female students who learnt AL-Feqeh unit using the traditional way, and two experimental groups: the first group learnt AL-Feqeh unit using computerized cooperative learning of (38) male and female students; (17) male and (21) female students, the second group of (38) male and female students; (15) male and (23) female students who learnt AL-Feqeh unit using computerized individual learning.

To achieve The purposes of the study, the researcher designed a computerized educational program.

The reliability of the program was checked through a jury of specialists, as well as, the reliability and validity of the achievement test attitudes scale, and Torrance test of creative thinking were checked.

Means, standard deviations, ANOVA, and Scheffe test were used to check the significant differences (α=0, 05).

The results of the study showed that: · There were statistical differences in the creative thinking and achievement due to the computerized cooperative learning and computerized individual learning methods compared to the traditional learning method.

· There were no statistical differences between the three groups on the creative thinking test attributed to the gender or interaction between gender and method.

In the light of the results of the study, the researcher proposed the following recommendations; training teachers of Islamic Education on designing and using Computerized Education Programs in their teaching, as well as such programs should include activities that develop creative thinking..
