A simple, cheap and valid assay was developed to measure Zafirlukast in blood.

This method depends on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), by using column of Purospher star® RP-18 end capped with 250 cm length, packed with Hypersil-ODS, 5 µ and UV detector.

The mobile phase was 70v of acetonitrile added to 30v of buffer, with 1.5 ml / min flux rate and 242 nm wavelength.

Zafirlukast is an anti- leukotriene used for term therapy of asthma.

The selection of Zafirlukast was depended on pharmacokinetic studies, to illustrate if there is any difference between these pharmacokinetics and those founded in international studies.

In this study, the pharmacokinetics value of Zafirlukast was calculated in 14 patients with asthma
