Abstract EN

This paper deals with a methodological study through the historical resources of the biography of the prince “The Dawadar Younus Al - Nawrouzy Al - Zahery", the inkpot bearer of Sultan Al - Zaher Barquq.

It covers the period of his lifetime until his death at 791 Hijra - 1388 AD, concerning the name, title, familial origins and bringing up, his administrative posts and his political role in Mamluk State.

Moreover the paper refers to his assassination, personal features and his sons.

The paper ended by his civil contributions and charity endowments.

The paper was supplemented by three analytic studies on the name of prince “Younus” in the historical resources, his important personality as well as the attribution of the name of the Palestinian city Khan Younus to the building which Prince “Younus” built there.

The study started with introduction and preface, it is ended by a conclusion and plates supplement.
