Abstract EN

The rapid evolution in Information Technology and Communications pushed many software and system development companies to compete in enhancing and improving systems for Knowledge Management (KM).

Moreover, companies who would like to adopt KM used best and latest Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) because Knowledge is an important factor for organizations.

This paper shows methods for evaluating KMS by reviewing the reviewing different KMSs and by knowing the characteristics for these systems to know the capabilities of these systems to compare them with each other’s to reach to proposal for best Knowledge Management System.

The paper aimed to provide an overview about best KMS around the world according to studies and ranking form specialized company in this areas.

It will provided a recommended way for organizations to help them to evaluate KMS.

The documentary approach used to review the literature, which touched on KMS, processes and criteria for evaluating KMS, as well as the comparative approach used to make a comparison between KMSs.

The research found that KMS when applied in organizations rely heavily on the actual needs for the organization and that organization must play its role in evaluating the system to ensure that it meets their needs.
