استخدام نموذجي الانحدار اللوجيستي و انحدار كوكس لدراسة العوامل المؤثرة على وفيات الأطفال الرضع في فلسطين

Abstract EN

The basic idea of this study focused on the using of advanced statistical methods for studding the most important factors affecting the infant mortality in Palestine ( West Bank and Gaza Strip).

The logistic regression was chosen and Cox regression as being applicable on this studies.

The results indicated that, in spite of the different regression coefficients in somewhat to logistic regression and Cox regression, but they have reached to the same variables that have an impact on the phenomenon.

Also the most important demographic and social factors which influence the life of the baby is the sex and the nature of the newborn whether single or twin and mother's education, and Iron tablets that‘s the mother get during pregnancy, and the importance the breastfeeding for the child, all these are the most important variables of the nutritional status of the mother and child in the interpretation of the case of survival of the infant baby.

Moreover the results indicated that the health care that mother get during pregnancy and low birth weight at birth has a significant effect on the life of the infant's baby .
