Abstract EN

Academic libraries are academic institutions that aim to meet the documentary requirements of users: students, teachers and researchers in all levels .

With the technological development in various society aspects, university libraries have been forced to take into account electronic resources in the resources collection development and the application of new technologies in the various documentary services (direct and indirect) and to provi( ctronic services .

This study is conducted to know the influence of new technologies on documentary services in academic Algerian central libraries and the degree of use of electronic services.

Made on a sample of eight boarded Algerian university libraries in the center, a descriptive study based on a questionnaire for collecting information and interviews in addition to visits to the concerned BU.

In the end of this study, we came to several conclusions.
