Abstract EN

Tackling the issue of intention in divorce is one of the important subjects in Islamic jurisprudence.

This research has tackled many points in this regard, such as: - the definition of intention linguistically and as a term or idiom - the importance and status of intention in ritual worships and other things such as financial transactions - is the intention a condition to validate the divorce - the effect of intention in the divorce that is carried out clearly or indirectly or in a written form or by sending a messenger or by giving a sign - the divorce of the one who is joking or who has done it by mistake - the repetition of the statement of the divorce …etc.

I have done my best to highlight the most authentic and acceptable opinions through the different opinions of the Islamic jurist.

I have clarified as well the status of the Jordanian statute law from the previous mentioned points.
