Abstract EN

The poem is about the depressing conditions of migrants with a focus on children .It highlighted a picture tha touches the hearts and the minds with its tragedy in terms of the choice of the meter , which organized the poem's feet , the syllables, the type of rhyme scheme as well as the rythem.Thesimple Sea(which is a meter in Arabic poetry) controlled the poem – this Sea is not a neat one , it has two different feet, as if they are resembling the sea coming up and down.

On the other hand the harmony of the name of the rhyme (the accumulate) with theme of the poem which deals with the sea and its waves, did not restricted it with the vowel /a:/ which dominations the attention of the minds of a aware people and the hearts of the believers who fear God with a thundering voice "calling up" against the crimes of injustice, abuse, genocide, and then with explosive /b/ which shows the escalating size of the tragedy .

The poet maintained the rhythm of the verses to the extent that made it look as if they are identical , we do not observe the difference in the total phonological segments in the poem and its verses .The open short segment (C V) appeared in the right half of the verse line (51) times, and in the second part of the verse line (52) .

While the long segment (C V V) showed in the right half (24) times, and in the second half of the verse line (25) times, and finally the closed segment (C V C) showed in the first half (51) times, and in the second of the line part.(49) times.

The poem contained many linguistic harmony between the amount of phonetic segments and their types in one hand, and with the context in the other hand.

For example: the proportion of open segment (both types: the long and short), which represents the movement in the eighth verse line , that speaks about the roar of the sea, and the movement of the bustling tidal waves was the highest in the whole poem, it reached (67.8% (.

While the highest proportion of the closed segment which denotes security and inspires calmness, or lack of movement, found in the verses: 2 and 9.

The nice thing is in the request of the Poet to the sea to be merceful three times in the poem: two of them by the using the root of the verb ( رفقا easy), in two verses, this is in a harmony with the highest proportion of the closed segment (46.4%), which is a ratio not seen in the other lines ; this means a reduction in the proportion of the movement to least of the ratio in the whole poem .As for the third request for mercy it was in the form of imperative verb (have mercy) in the fourth line , which has the second highest closed segment (42.9%), here it seems the compatibility of the movement and compatibility with the context of having mercy are matching with the calmness ,with which stepping forward is too hard .It should be noted here that any verse in the poem does not exceed the (40%) except for these three verses.
