Abstract EN

Since the early nineties of the last century, Algeria moved to amend its banking system through the adoption of a series of laws designed to tighten controls on the banks before, during and after its founding, and among these laws came together to establish the principles and mechanisms of bank governance.

This study aimed to analyze the impact of bank governance to improve performance through indices return on assets ROA and ROE return on equity, and this study included the analysis of the results announced by the Bank of Algeria, for the period from 2002 to 2010.
