Abstract EN

This paper was conducted to identify NBU* students’ attitudes and perceptions towards higher education and the extent to which these differ based on certain variables; namely: gender, college and GPA.

Based on the descriptive analysis approach, a survey of four areas (attitudes towards 1) instructors, 2) curriculum, 3) administration and 4) students’ activities) and 33 items was developed and administered to a population sample of 623 students.

Findings revealed a moderately positive attitude towards higher education with a mean of 3.02.

Results also showed statistically significant differences in the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender and college factors in favor of male students and colleges of humanitarian studies, respectively.

No differences were found which can be attributed to GPA.
