Abstract EN

We aim through this paper to focus on the risk in health facilities, especially risks due to the patient.

A study was started in 2012 and which brought together seven wilayas of eastern Algeria (Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Tebessa, Skikda, Constantine, Khenchla, Souk Ahras) including 14 EPSP; 2 EPSP in each wilaya, one of them in the capital of the wilaya.

This study has allowed us to collect 472 care seekers answers.

The results showed that among the causes of hazards and medical errors and risks are: care of the patient's irresponsible decisions, contributing to clogging the medical and surgical emergencies, increasing those risks and errors.

Among these irresponsible decisions (total disinterest of prevention, lack of a culture of risk management, non-compliance with the graduation of care).
