Abstract EN

This study aims to consolidate the design motifs of the Sudanese women's (Toab) with respect to the quotation and the utilization of the features of the environment to create designs that may fulfill the ambitions and desires of the Sudanese women.

So the main purpose of this study is vested upon (The Quotation and the utilization of the aesthetic features of the jasmine flowers And the leaves of the ficucs) in order to answer the following questions: o Is it possible to quote designs from nature that fit for the creation of designs for the dress of Sudanese women.

o What procedures can be applied for the process of quotation from the environment and then employed in the designs of the Sudanese women's (Toab) o To what extent the designs adapted from the surrounding environment meet the Sudanese women taste and desire.

o Does the quotation from the surrounding environment for the creation of new designs help in orientation and development of the Sudanese women's (Toab) designs.

The rationale of the study is composed of integrated information about the properties and attributes of Sudanese women's (Toab) from the perspective of its historical and cultural dimensions and its continuity across eras and generations, hence its acceptability among the various cultures of the Sudanese societies as a national uniform despite its exposition to changing and evolving factors that took place in the method of (how to wear it) and the diversity and multiplicity of its designs which are greatly affected by the values and semantics codes of foreign cultures, particularly from the manufacturing countries. To keep abreast with the topic of the study the concept of using the quotation from nature to create artistic designs is perceived as a vital issue for the theoretical framework of the study.

In this respect the quotation is looked at as a new formation of a natural thing that has been viewed simultaneously or may be fermented in memory by citing it in a period of time so that its aesthetic features and compositions might appear in the space which it occupies and not copying its typical image.

So, the theoretical aspects of the study incorporate integrated information and concepts about the natural environment together with its various components of creatures, trees, mountains..etc.

beside the historical remains and what has been founded by humans as (man-made environment).

These environments are considered as sources of references inspired by the designer to form his new ideas.

However these new ideas can only become known after the excitation source influence the feelings of the designer, hence, a kind of coexistence between the designer and the source of citation is founded. The researcher adapted the descriptive methodological approach to collate the necessary information for the theoretical following stages: Stage 1: preparation: in which jasmine flower and the Ficus tree is described in terms of their origin of source, shape, features, and distinctive characteristic properties specially the color, size, method of cohesion, colors of the blossoms..etc.

Then many picture of the branches and leaves of the Ficus tree, as well as jasmine flowers were taken and made available to choose from them for the next stage.

Stage 2: Design work: The initial design schematic drawing began accompanied by deletion and addition and modification of the composition of the main motifs and then adjustment of the ratios and the relationships between them together with the selection and the employment of the appropriate colors for each of the two designs.Stage 3.

Evaluation and assessment: A finishing of the two designs made on imperial size Bristol paper with the same specific percentages for the final implementation introduced to a number of highly specialized textile designers to give their ideas and evaluate the quality of the two designs with respect to the following norms:  Treatment of the quotation from the ficus tree leaves and jasmine flowers.

 selection and application of colors  treatment of spaces (ratios and proportionality).

 quality of finishing.

The outcomes of the evaluation process were very positive and highly appreciated by the researcher as all the evaluators agreed upon the distinctive quotation and the outstanding utilization of the ficus tree and jasmine flower in design and the attractive colors and the well balanced ratios and proportion.

Accordingly, the work proceeds to its final stage est..

application and production of the two designs on the Sudanese women's (Toabs)
