Abstract EN
The current study aimed at investigating the effect of training program based on the social cognitive theory, on the learning intrinsic motivation of a sample of 10th basic grade students.
To achieve this aim, a training program was developed based on the social cognitive theory, one was: learning intrinsic motivation scale to measure the learning intrinsic motivation, which consisted of five major domains: interest, competence, value, Withstand tension and Withst and Ambiguity.
The total scale included 42 statements.
A Quasi-experimental design was followed on a sample consisted of 40 students, randomly divided into two group, experimental and controlling, a pretest was applied on all the study subject, the training program was applied only on the experimental group.
A post test was applied on all the study subject.
The results of the study revealed about the first question that there were differences between the means of both the experimental and control groups in favor at the experimental group.
This result assured the efficiency of the training program and these differences were of statistical significance at the level of α = 0.05 on the all domains.
The study conclude that the self regulated learning very important and recommended to build programs upon the social cognitive theory in training cognitive and motor skills.
