Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of using mobile phone by education technology students at Jadara University in academic and social communication and its obstacles from their point of view.

To achieve this purpose, questionnaire was developed which demonstrated adequate reliability and validity.

And then distributed to members of the study numbering 85 male and female students, during the second semester of the academic year 2011-2012.

The results of the study revealed that the degree of mobile phone use by education social communication was moderate.

The results also revealed that the degree of obstacles of using mobile phone in academic and social communication was moderate.

The results revealed that there was no significant difference in the degree of using mobile phone in the academic communication due to the variable of sex, and the results showed that there was significant difference in the degree of using of mobile phone in social communication in favor of females.

The study recommended further studies on the degree of using mobile phone with the rest of academic disciplines, and conducting training courses for students in order to familiarize them with the best way to use a mobile phone in the educational process.
