Abstract EN

The research aims to: 1.

Identify depression levels among students of college of primary education 2.

Identify the differences between practicing the physical activity and the symptoms of depression among a sample of students in the College of Primary Education.

The researcher used the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research and the research sample was formed from students in the College of Primary Education (254) students who were chosen intentionally.

The researcher used “Beck Depression Inventory”, which consists of (19) items and a group of items where each set includes a certain type of symptoms of depression and under each symptom, there are four options reflect the gradation in the intensity of the symptom.

The researcher relied on the same grades determined by (Beck depression) and the data was processed statistically by using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage and simple correlation coefficient.

The researcher concluded the following: 1.

Students of the College of Primary Education had positive levels of depression, according to the Beck depression.

2.

There were significant differences between the students who engaged in sports activities and the students who did not for the benefit of practicing sports activities
