Abstract EN

This This study aimed to analyze the impact of using health information systems with it’s dimensions (the used computers, electronic networks, software, databases and information security) on the medical decision-making process with its dimensions (problem identification, identifying and developing alternatives, selection and implementation of alternative, follow up the implementation of alternative therapeutic) at Prince Hamzah Hospital form the perceptions of the doctors' who are working there, To achieve the intended goal of the study, the researchers collected the data by designing and developing a systematic questionnaire, and then distributing copies of the questionnaire among (290) of doctors who are working at Prince Hamzah Hospital,The collected data were statistically analyzed by using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS.v.16.1), the study revealed the following important findings: 1.

The perceptions of the doctors' at Prince Hamzah Hospital at the level of using the health information systems and the medical decision-making process were high 2.

There was an impact of using health information systems on the medical decision-making process, where all the independent variable dimensions show variance fetched up (39.6%) on the dependent variable.

The study recommends guiding manegers of Prince Hamzah Hospital to continue taking care of health information systems, installing updated and more suitable programs, activated networks and security rols in determining alternateves and follow up implementing medical decisions.

Furthermore, the study guides resrechers to make more studies about facilities of the use of health information systems and its effect on patient’s satisfaction.
