In reality, such proposal occupied an important place in Khaldunien thought.

Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) have preceded west in his famous preface by his analysis of population growth stages, he divided this growth to steps similar to those described in the modern theory of demographic theory.

For this, we can consider his preface as a basis to research on Ibn Khaldun the demograph who precede his time.
