Abstract EN

The present paper focuses on and clarifies the behavioral foundations of instructional design and its management in classroom situation.

Arguments regarding the importance of the theoretical structure of instructional design have emerged.

Some instructional designers and specialists of educational technology have proposed instructional and training design in teaching learning only require the equation and its application in teaching and learning situations.

There is no need to know whether the bases are considered behavioral or something else, because their focus is on the learner and the trainee.

This has led to their neglect of learning theory which was considered part of applied sciences.

The study attempts to show the relationship between learning theories and the thoeretical and psychological applied research in order to direct instructional and training designers' interests towards the theoretical bases.

This is done to deepen their understanding of the various stages, steps and procedures of instructional design.

It also intends to differentiate their work from the stages of traditional instruction.

Moreover, the study presents the basic components of instructional design, its development, its behavioral frames and the role of the instructor.

It is hoped that educators will comprehend the importance of selecting the appropriate model whenever designed instruction and training are needed.

The study presents various models that reflect the application of the behavioral approach in instructional and training design, thus jusitying its behavioral bases.

Finally, some recommendations are offered.
