Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the map of major U.S.

interests in the Middle East region by addressing the dimensions of the Syrian crisis through the use of a theoretical framework to understand current events in Syria and the predictability of future developments of the situation with the help of an ideological and geopolitical scheme to dismantle the complexity of interactions and interests in the region.

The study concluded that what is happening in Syria is considered tools for major powers to survive and continue in the occupation of leadership in the international system, which is still experiencing a transitional phase since the breakup of the Soviet Union, and therefore what is passing through Syria does not suggest the features of close political solution in the horizon.
