The Gulf region has been the target for the control of the European countries which wrestled for centuries on this site because this region control in global trade routes which link between East and West, and the conflict between European countries resulting of the British hegemony on the region, which prompted researchers to describe the Gulf region as a British lake.

Britain has concluded several treaties with the rulers of the region to fight the slave trade that has spread in the Arab Gulf frequently.

This research deals with the myth of Britain in the fight against the slave trade, Britain has claimed that the fight against this type of trade is aimed primarily to the human factor, but the fact it was the way to install the colonial bases in the region to strengthen its economy and support its policy.

The writer uses the historical method in collecting, presenting and organizing his data depending on analytical and deductive method to reach the conclusion
