Abstract EN

Study sheds light on the sexual exploitation and abuse of teachers and students in schools.

The key aim of the study is to identify the volume of exploitation experienced by both teachers and students, and draw a distinction between each exposure.

With that end in view, study distributed a questionnaire to both teachers and students, and summed up with the following findings: high secondary school teachers encountered neither exploitation nor abuse by educational level, however statistically significant differences were found among the age group from 31-40.

Conversely, findings have also shown that high secondary school students experienced neither exploitation nor abuse in all age groups, however there were some statistically significant differences showing exposure of high secondary schools students to exploitation and abuse by grades.

Study then compared the averages of teachers and students' exposure to sexual exploitation and abuse, and found out that the level of exposure is not high.

Study hence recommended the activation of objective dialogue between educational institutions and instilling righteous Islamic teachings in both teachers and students.
