The purpose of this paper is to show the contradiction in modernity in contemporary arabic poetry, on one hand, it is considered for some poets as a destruction and regression in the meaning of poetry and its message, on the other hand, it is a modernity of construction and improvement among the other modernist poets.

Cet article vise à montrer la contradiction existante dans la modernité poétique arabe contemporaine, pour certains poètes, elle est considérée d’une part comme une destruction et une régression du sens du poème et de sa noble mission, et d’autre part, c’est une modernité de construction et de développement chez les autres poètes de la modernité.
