Abstract EN

The study examines the reality of Arab cultural identity among Algerian youth in light of its use of social networking sites, especially the Facebook site, by identifying the most important cultural patterns with which young people interact through Facebook pages, as well as determining the status of the Islamic religion, Arabic language and cultural heritage as the components of cultural identity.

To the Algerian youth, as well as to identify the future of cultural identity among young people in the midst of exposure to this kind of social sites.

The study relied on the descriptive survey method and on the direct observation tool by tracking what is published through the Facebook site of cultural and social issues.

We also used content analysis as a research tool to collect study data that aims to describe the pages of the Facebook site.

The study was applied to a sample of four pages of Facebook users for a week.
