Emir Abdelkader’s poetic experience is rooted in history, and the presence of woman in his poems is clear and obvious, there is almost no poem devoidof mentioning her, and mentioning his wife, ‘mother of children’ in which he collects all women, so howcan forcemeet with tenderness ? And how cansword meet wet leaf ? This can only exist in a poetry ofa knight whoputs his sword in the heart of his opponent, and his other hand wipehis wife‘s tears, these qualities rarely meet in one man.
