The establishment of the International Criminal Court - and rightly so – remains the biggest event on the road to promote the necessary measures that ensure the respect for human rights.

It also addresses serious violations of these rights and these freedoms.

In order to shed light on the factors affecting the ideal performance of the International Criminal Tribunal, we will try to answer the following two questions: How do the political interests of the countries influence the performance of the International Criminal Court? How do double standards undermine the effectiveness of the International Criminal Court?
