Abstract EN

It aims to identify academic difficulties faced by students in light of the variables of: level, the cumulative average, and residence, according to their point of view.

The original community of the study was all students studying in the Department of Special Education at the University of Shaqra in the second semester of the academic year1434/1435AH, the representative sample was chosen randomly from students of the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education in Al-dawadmi city(123 students).

Questionnairewas usedas a tool to collect data and then data were analyzed using the program(spss)to find frequencies, mean and standard deviation to answer the questions of the study.In addition, The analysis of variance(P) and t-test were used.

Findings of the study discovered that the degree of difficulty for all topics of the study was average.

Difficulties related to courses came first, followed by difficulties related to the students while the difficulties of the calendar came in third rank and finally the difficulties related to faculty members.

The study has also been found to accept all three hypotheses of the study, which states that there is no statistically significant differences at significance level(0.05)in the academic difficulties faced by the students of special education at the University of Shaqra depending on variables of level, cumulative average and residence.

One of the main recommendations of the studyis to conducts cientific similar studies to this study that should be applied to the different faculties of the University Shaqra,departments and specialties for boys and girls, and a comparis on between the for boys and girl stode termine the effect of this variable on the academic difficulties faced by students alike.
