Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the Palestinian university students’ attitudes towards voluntary work in the light of some variables.The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach.The population of study consisted of all students at the Palestinian universities and the study sample was 309 students.

The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection.The study revealed the following results: The average degree of overall responses to all areas of the questionnaire was (1.97) , with a percentage weight of (38.82) The total relative weight area volunteer areas in which university students wishing to participate (44.63%) , followed by the degree of the university young volunteer work relative weight (37.20%) , and finally the benefits expected by the university the young man as a result of their participation in volunteer work relative weight (34.15%) .There were no statistically significant differences at the level (a ≤ 0.05) between the mean of the study sample attitudes towards volunteer work related to gender, major and university in the total score of the questionnaire In the light of these findings, the study recommended the following: 1.

The necessity of activating the role of community institutions to improve the quality of volunteer work.

Highlighting the role of universities in enriching the culture of volunteer work through study programs.
