Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to reveal the degree of the employment and obstales of social networking sites in spreading the values of citizenship by faculty members among Hail University.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used two instruments to this purpose.

A sample of the students consisted of (387) and (197) faculty members from Hail University were chosen with stratified method from the study community ; (113) students, and (72) faculty members were selected randomly for the interview.

Results of the study showed that the employment of social networking sites in spreading the values of citizenship by faculty members from the perspective of students and faculty members was moderate; there are differences from the perspective of students attributed to academic level variable, in favor of third- year students ; there was no difference attributed to specialization variable.

There was a difference attributed to academic rank (assistant professor, associate professor) in favor of (associate professor) ; there was a difference between academic rank (professor, assistant professor) in favor of (professor) ; there was no differences attributed to specialization variable.

The results showed that there were no obstacles that limits university faculty members, students and courses.
