Abstract EN

This study deals with the strategic importance of Tehran in terms of the geopolitics.

Being the capital of Iran and its largest cities, and as for this city of political importance at the local, regional and international levels.

The study aims to reveal the importance of the city of Tehran present and future in the light of its natural and human geography, and hence the political future of the city in the light of future expectations, among the most prominent results of the study is that, the city of Tehran has its political weight, despite the many drawbacks which are generated by the site but it is in the middle of densely populated areas in the state,as well as finding an alternative location for the Iranian capital is not easy.

It can be selected to meet local requirements than that mediate the state as much as possible taking into account natural and human characteristics and political influence with Tehran retaining some of its previous advantages.
