A customer has approached an Islamic bank, seeking to transfer his interest-based loan from a conventional bank to an Islamic bank with the desire to shun Riba (interest). The customer had borrowed the amount from conventional bank to acquire a residential property for his own dwelling purpose which has been mortgaged to the bank as security for the loan.
