Abstract EN

This study aimed to explore the personal and material factors as well as school environment factors behind teachers’ dropout in private schools of public education, as seen by schools’ owners.

It also aimed to propose solutions that may contribute to the reduction of these factors, and to identify the statistically significant differences between owners of schools in terms of specialty, nationality, years of experience, and the percentage of Saudization required at schools.

The researcher applied the descriptive survey method.

The study reached the following key findings: The key personal factor behind teachers’ dropout at private schools in public education was the poor academic qualification; the key material factor was the announcement of government jobs during the school year; the key factor related to the school environment was the lack of clarity in the legislations governing teachers’ work.

The most important proposed solution was to activate the financial support to the private schools.

Statistically significant differences were found in favor of the study participants who are specialists in education and whose experience is 5-10 years
