The field of phonetics and phonology is considered the main branch of Arabic language and the base on which its other variant branches depend.

Arabic phonilogists had the greatest role in studying phonological aspects.

Muhammad Hasan Hasan Jibl is one of the modern researchers who have great interest in studying speech sounds, his distinguished works are good proofs in this field, he tackles a group of phonological aspects.

His studies are highly objective and accurate.

Some of them are: a study of syllables, stress and intonation, and the allophone which he tries to study in details with the aid of what he had learned from ancient Arabic phonologists directing his attitude to what the modern phonological lessons have reached, and this what the current research is trying to reveal
