The study aims at finding the relationship between the evolution of the Bahrain capital market and economic growth, using the Toda and Yamamoto approach, which is based on the VAR model, which does not take into account the stability of time series, which avoids the problem of false regression.

According to this approach, there is a one-way causality of economic growth to the financial market.

Although market capitalization indicators have evolved but have not been able to affect their economic activity, they may be due to the small size of the financial market.
