Abstract EN

Rationalism means abstention from violating the laws and systems of scientific truths that are attained through mental processes such as meditation, thinking, reflection and remembering.

As it refers things to their origins, this study seeks to reveal the Holy Qur’an’s methodology in inviting non-Muslims to convert to Islam through conscious meditation on the universe and its components.

The discussion came to a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the Holy Quran’s methods called the human mind to meditate on the most fertile ground for meditation, which is the ample universe, so as to discover the truths that lead to the belief in Allah the almighty.

This has also helped in building belief on reason and sound reflection rather than blind imitation or replication of inherited tenets.

These methods are in perfect tune with the capacity and predisposition of the human mind to acquire knowledge, in the sense that they adopt progressive reasoning which is innate in man.

Therefore, progression is the most salient feature of the Holy Qur’an’s method of calling to Allah through mental reflection.

Moreover, the approach of mediation on the universe is scientific and structural.

This is because it helps in upgrading the human mind and increasing its abilities so as to attain certainty in belief, rather than retreat into the self or get entangled in the controversies of philosophical and metaphysical matters that bypass the capacity of human beings and their senses.
