Abstract EN

This research deals with the effectiveness of Islamic finance, microfinance in the eradication of poverty.

The Islamic finance has several financing formulas some of which are based on the concept known as Murabaha and participation.

Both are based on religion.

Murabaha in particular is based on righteousness and kindness like zakaah and Qurd Hassen.

Thanks to this formula, one can finance the poor with small loans.

Due to rising poverty levels in different countries, the present research offers the effectiveness of Islamic finance in the financing of projects for the poor.

In this connection, we bear on the experience of countries like Yemen and the Sudan.
