Abstract EN

This article addresses some important obstacles facing the licensing of intellectual property rights in Jordanian Law.

It examines the requirement that licensing contracts of copyrights and trademarks be in writing and the requirement of registration in licensing of patent rights.

The article argues that non-written license contracts of copyrights and trademarks are void.

It also argues that non-registered license contracts of patents are void.

This article also discusses another problem relating to the legality of amending licensed materials that are protected under copyright law and concludes that it is legally not allowed.

It finally examines package licensing and concludes that package license agreements are void under Jordanian law.
