أثر الإنفاق العام في الناتج المحلي في الأردن خلال الفترة 1999-2013

Abstract EN

The study aimed to analyze the impact of public expenditure in GDP during the period 1999 to 2013, and analysis of the trends of the relative importance of public current and capital expenditures according to functional classification adopted in the general budget, and analyze the trends of the relative importance of GDP by the contributions of economic sectors of goods and services? The study used the multiple linear regression analysis at the least squares method and econometric approach to estimate the rates and trends of causal relationships between study variables, which represnt functions of public spending and contributions of economic sectors in the GDP ? The study found that the effect of public spending on the six functions of government was positive in GDP, which are: a general public services; defense; economic affairs; entertainment, culture and religious affairs; education and social protection.

On other hand, the effect of public spending on the four functions of government was negative in GDP, which are: public system and public safety affairs; housing and community facilities; health and program of social-economic transformation.

This result is the outcome of the effect of public expendutres for all government functions in the domestic production of the economic sectors, wich are: agriculture, hunting and fishing; mining and quarrying; manufacturing; electricity and water; construction; wholesale and retail; resturents and hotels; transport, storage and communications; services of finance, insurance and real estate; social and personal services.
