Abstract Shakh Ali Khan Zangna was a minister of a big state in terms of its wide lands and its multiple tribes.

At the beginning of his occupation, the general conditions were not stable, but his unusual ability enabled him to override the difficulties and manage the affairs of the state.

His success was a result of his strong personality on the one hand and his capacities to run any tasks.

Many administrative, economic and military reforms were the landmarks of his period.

For instance, he gave special attention, by increasing the number of its individuals and its weapons, to army as the backbone of the state.

In addition, he developed industry, agriculture and trade.

All these reforms improved the outcome of state treasury.

Moreover, the administration received a considerable care by fighting corruption in the different sectors of the state.

Hence, Ali's personality came to adopt inferior and interior policies that have a positive tendency to protect the state from earlier collapse.
