Abstract EN

The problem of liquidity has been given a greater attention by Islamic rather than traditional banks.

This is because that Islamic law prohibits money hoarding and demands Islamic banks to invest their deposits and reserves in order to serve economic and human development according to the legitimate means.This research aims to: Identify the concept of liquidity of Islamic banks and distinguish it from the traditional banks, identify the causes of the liquidity surplus problem according to the legitimate, legal and innovative aspects, and review some of the Islamic financial instruments applied in Islamic banks to prove their suitability to Islamic law.Researchers assumed that the Islamic economic system is able to solve the liquidity problem in the Islamic banks.
