Whatever are their types and shapes, informational institutions attempt to offer information services that respond to the users’s expectations.

The university library is one of the most important institutions in society in general and in the academic environment in particular that cares about its diverse users’ needs.

The blind students are among its users that require more attention and treatment, so that they may have access to the needed information easily.

This is the global context of our study which attempts to portray the situation of Batna University in terms of information services provided to the blind students by its libraries.

We led a survey at Batna University Library using the questionnaire and the interview as the fundamental instruments for collecting data from the blind studentsWe adopted the descriptive approach in our study that allowed us to reach significant results which can be summarized in the necessity of providing more resources and means with appropriate methods that may cope with their various needs, essentially the learning and social ones, in order to help the blind students to accede to information and knowledge.
