Abstract EN

This study aimed at determining the perceived degree of Practice of aesthetic leadership at Jordanian universities as perceived by the academic staff and its relationship with their satisfaction with work environment.

The study employed the descriptive correlation methodology.

A two part questionnaire one for the aesthetic leadership and the other for satisfaction with work environment was developed and administered to a random sample of 432 of the academic staff at some public and private Jordanian universities.

After having its validity and reliability tested and verified.

The study revealed high perceived degree of practice of aesthetic leadership by academic leaders on all dimensions of the study although some individual items particularly in the dimensions of language, dissemination of beauty culture and artifacts, were given moderate averages.

No statistically significant differences that could be attributed to the demographic or organizational variables were reported.

By contrast the respondents reported medium degree of satisfaction with work environment with statistically significant differences as a function of the years of experience and academic title.

The results suggest a positive corelational relationship between the practice of aesthetic leadership and satisfaction with work environment.

The findings were discussed in the light of the related literature and previous studies Based on the results the study suggested some recommendations.
