The purpose of this study was to identify the level of application of managerial communication and its relationship to enhance the performance of employees in government and private hospitals in the city of Irbid.

The descriptive analytical method was employed to secure the necessary information for investigating the objectives of this study.

A survey questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data for the research.

The population of the study was all employees in public and private hospitals operating in the city of Irbid totaling (2112) that spread over (8) hospitals.

However, the total of the study sample was (420) based on job titles (doctor, nurse, pharmacist, medical careers support, administrative careers) which represented (20%) of the study population..

The findings pointed out that there were different views among respondents about the level of administrative communication variable depending on the job title in favor of nursing category.

Furthermore, the findings of the study revealed that there were different views among respondents about performance based on the number of years of service (5 years or less), and also on the type of sector.

Therefore, it was recommended that, there is a need to address the concept of personal communications and human relations by administrative leaders in hospitals due to its clear and obvious impact on the work performance, and more attention must be paid to the work environment in order to improve the morale of the workers.

Finally, the study recommended that there should be more training courses for workers in the hospitals in the area of administrative communication.

Therefore, both sectors must carefully evaluate and adopt the recommendations presented in this study
