Panic disorder is a state of excitability which consists of several attacks panic or extreme fear, that suddenly appear powered by somatic and cognitive symptoms increases inspiraly to make you death or madness.

The fourth and revised diagnostic manual (DSM-IV-TR,2000) shows that epidemiological studies around the world show the propagation rate of emergence between panic disorder (1.5%) (3.5%).

The biological model presented at the beginning, an interpretation of this condition by assuming the presence of a syndrome of reasons related to pathological reasons and organic inherited properties and specific clinical treatment.

However, the emergence of a cognitive revolution in the treatment of anxiety disorders has provided theoretical models predicted which was considered as a scientific discovery because it presented an explanation and an effective treatment for panic disorder.

This article contributes to the classification of panic disorder and theories that explain the process highlighting the contributions of each theory, which allows for a precise conception of the therapeutic action of clinical specialist
