Abstract EN

The purpose of the present research is to study the phenomenon of community riots as one of the most prominent aspects of the crowd psychology which has been at the crux of many social psychologists.

To achieve this aim, we use the documentary approach to benefit from the literatures and the psychological studies in this domain.

Along with this, we try to define the term riot and its notion, its causes and factors, human gatherings and the psychology of rioters, groups and crowds which are expected to occur, and then may cause some form of riots, and their psychological trends, the stages that it goes through, the most frequent riots, the effects that it leaves on security, political, economic and social levels.

At last, we would like to suggest some remedial proposals that would scaffold for a better prevention.
