The diplomatic envoy and diplomatic facilities have a double protection at the time of armed conflicts.Thy are guaranteed by the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations of 1961,and also by the fourth geneva convenba of 1949,and the exhra protocol of 1977.This is also because tye diplomabc envoy is considel one of the civilian and diplomatic facililies.

Thus, the assault on the diplomatic envoy or diplomatic facilities is one of the physical abuse which constitute war crimes under the Statute of the International Criminal Court.
