Abstract EN

The current study aims at identifying the effectiveness of a suggested program based on the use of animation in developing the concept of numbers among the first graders of hearing impairment.

To achieve the study aims; the researchers used the quasi experimental method.

The study tool was an a achievement test for the concept of numbers.

The test was applied on a sample of 26 first graders of hearing impairment who are divided equally to a control and an experimental group.

The results of the study showed that there was no statistical differences between the means of pupils’ in both groups in the post-test.

The value of (z) was (4.39) in favour of the experimental group.

The effect size was (0.828).

In the light of the results, the researchers recommend that it is important to include the design and production of animation in the training program for student-teachers in the faculties of education.
