The research seeks to study Susanne Langer’s Philosophy of Symbolic Figures and its relation to Aesthetic Judgment; as she focuses on artworks and its distinguished features as a symbolic mean for knowledge.

The two researchers attempted observing Ernst Cassirer’ sorigins of the philosophy of symbolic figures; where the symbol becomes the intellectual energy that forms a specific content of intellectual indicators, which is connected to identical sensual and realistic signs.

In the light of that, the researchers studied Langer’s work on the effect of symbolic figures on the philosophy of art, and its position in relation to the function of art and its connection to the symbol; in addition to the artistic image and the human affection within the contexts of aesthetic judgment.
